High School Mental Health Project for Student With Special Needs

Help me give my students snacks, water and a calm space to help elevate their mood so that they can make it through the day.

My Project

The purpose of this project is to support students including those with Special Needs as they navigate Mental and Social stressors. Many of the students come form social and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. They face many stressors that they find difficult to navigate. They struggle because often times they are hungry and don't quite understand how hunger can negatively affect mood. I am often times their safe place. Where they come to vent, decompress and get a snack. Often times a breakthrough begins with a open heart, light snack and a drink of water.
