This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Student Council students are an amazing group of young men and young ladies who are dedicated to creating and maintaining a school culture that is positive and motivates others to do great things.
Student Council works hard to create a school culture and climate that we are ALL proud of.
Whether it's the cleanliness of the hallways, behavior at football games, food in the cafeteria or even the bathrooms, they are constantly looking at how the student body can help make improvements to the school culture and climate so everyone can see what an amazing school community we have.
My Project
High school can be challenging for our students with new friends, stressful classes, new experiences, peer pressure and the overwhelming desire to fit in. Through this project, we will uplift our school climate and culture by renovating our school’s restrooms with inspirational quotes that promote positivity, kindness, and teamwork.
Project goals include renovation of our school’s restrooms with the intent of incorporating messages that will promote positivity, kindness, and collaboration within the student body.
Students will have access to a safe place every day where they can feel valued and inspired. And, finally, we will expose our students to an encouraging atmosphere, empowering them to feel good about themselves and spread a positive message.
