My Project
I teach in an AIS school in Louisville, KY. We are a minority-majority school with a high-poverty student body and some of the most amazing and resilient students you could imagine. Our students have high trauma, and although they are nothing short of incredible, they sometimes need additional tools to cope with life's stressors. In my classroom, students are recovering from missed or failed classes.
They are with me for the majority of the school day.
My goal is to create an environment that is not only a safe place but a stress-free environment. The wax melters and tree lights are for homey decor to make the learning environment comfortable. Sometimes students don't have the supplies or tools they need to be successful in the classroom or to feel good about themselves. Higher confidence means higher effort. The edge control and beauty products are in high demand at our school, and having them on hand can mean the difference between a student coming to school or not. The expo markers and easel are for easy presentation. Could you help me make this happen for them? I appreciate your support.
