Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach Prekindergarten at an Elementary School that serves students in Grades Pre-K to 5th. I teach English Language Learners. We receive Title 1 funding, the majority of my students are at risk and underprivileged. As their teacher, I strive to create a learning environment where each student reaches success through their own individual potential and determination.
My Project
Teaching virtually has been a challenge ever since our sudden switch to Teaching-From-Home this past March. A lack of resources has made it difficult to provide a quality virtual learning experience.
A document camera will help show my students the hands-on activities, books, and projects and add another human element to the visual learning approach.
This camera will vastly increase the effect of my teaching by helping to keep my students engaged and focused on a real activity being shown in real time. Visualizing my hands-on lessons will make it easier for my students to learn.
