Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We teach a curious, creative, brilliant group of fourth and fifth-grade students. Ours is a diverse school with students from all parts of San Francisco. We have both an English language program and a Spanish Immersion program. We strongly believe that each of our students is brilliant and we are constantly in awe of and learning from all of them!

We teach at a Title I school in San Francisco where all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Supplemental materials are needed for my students to really have the stimulating, peaceful, engaging learning environment they deserve.

My Project

Everyone knows that having the best quality materials produces the highest quality work. When we run out of pencils and erasers, it slows down our process because we have to stop to look for more. With the pencils, erasers, and paper I requested in this project, I can ensure that my students are not burdened by a lack of basic materials.

Having lots of materials to choose from and use feels good.

I want my students to feel like they have everything they need to accomplish their work every day.
