High Interest Library for Struggling Readers

My students need high interest reading materials such as the "Captain Underpants" series, and the "Wimpy Kid" series in our classroom library to get them excited about reading.

This project is fully funded

I teach in a 3rd grade urban classroom that is a mix of regular education and special education students.

My students have the BIGGEST problem with reading. Every part of reading is a struggle for them. Because of this, reading isn't enjoyable; it is a chore that they often dread.

My students need reading materials that not only are on their level but books that will interest them. The books in the grant are the ones that they currently go to immediately at book fairs. Putting these books in their hands will draw them immediately into the joys of reading.

By donating to this grant, you will give students the opportunity to LOVE reading when they often don't have the chance or money to buy these books on their own.
