My Students

We seriously have some of the best students in our small-town middle school.

I'm excited to get to know my students and am looking forward to building relationships throughout the school year.

I want to grow with them!

Our school includes over sixty percent free or reduced-price lunch recipients. Together our community, parents, and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they deserve.

Although this year may look a little different whether in person, online, or a mix of both, I know we'll build our classroom community and become the family we always are.

I'm hoping to help students learn the joys of reading in any setting and am excited for the new year.

My Project

As a reading interventionist, my students struggle with basic reading and comprehension skills.

When students are interested in what they are reading, they are more likely to want to read, which will help them build stronger reading skills.

Although we have a middle school library, I would like to offer a classroom library to my students that has more options and gives them the opportunity to check out books that are both interesting to them and at their reading level.

The more books that are available to students the better!
