High Interest Books for Soon-to-be Passionate Readers
Help me give my students high interest reading books that will suck them into reading! With these books they will not be able to stop reading and will find a new sense of enjoyment during independent reading time!

My Project
Of all the things that kids like to talk about its video games, right? Well, instead of fighting kids and not letting them explore their personal interests why not use these to naturally engage them into reading instead?
With these books about popular video and computer games students will be clambering to get to the classroom library so that they can get their hands on these high-interest books!
In addition to this, these books will provide for a natural means for me as the teacher to connect with my students and relate to them and their interests. My goal as a teacher is to create a classroom where the WHOLE student can be expressed and not leave all of their personal interests at home and inevitably ignored. Since young students will be engaged with popular culture and video games why not let them read about it too?
