This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are creative, thoughtful, and innovative learners. They enjoy active and engaging lessons that foster the love of learning! They come to school each day, in person and ready to try new things and take brave chances to grow both personally and academically. My students attend a 3-5 school in an inner-city area with only a 33% success rate in Math and ELA.
Giving my students access to new books will make a huge difference in their classroom learning environment.
The challenge is our classroom library is desperate for high interest books. Each week my students are seeking the same books (Dork Diaries, Percy Jackson, Diary of the Wimpy Kid, etc...) and this project will bring new books to motivate my reluctant readers.
