Our high school is home to some of the most driven, appreciative, and inspiring students around. Approximately 2200+ students attend high school, established in 1976. Our kids come from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds. At our school, you'll see that we have a terrific program supporting spectrum folks and those with other special needs and abilities, an ELL program, robust AP and honors classes, and dedicated athletes. We're the most diverse (and best!) school in the district. It's an honor to be the librarian, attempting to bring books and technology that will further inspire and support these kids. My Project
This selection of books provides a number of titles our students can use for independent and supported reading programs, including freshman classes, Read 180, ELL students, Renaissance Place and more. We're building our well-used graphic novel collection with high interest and sophisticated new offerings, and growing our "transitional reads" in support of emerging readers at the school, as well as adding to our traditional fiction section. Thanks so much for taking a look at our project and considering investing in the literacy of teen readers. We'll make sure to protect and provide ready access to these great resources for our 2200+ readers!
