My Project
I believe that acquiring a classroom set of the book "Long Way Down" by Jason Reynolds would greatly benefit our group of hesitant readers. The book is written in engaging prose and tackles relevant subjects that resonate with our students, making it highly interesting to them. By introducing this book, we aim to not only encourage students to read but also to explore and appreciate poetry, as the text seamlessly weaves these elements together.
This initiative serves a dual purpose: to ignite a passion for reading among our students and to facilitate creative teaching opportunities through poetry exploration.
