As a school counselor, I love to learn more about the students by visiting their classrooms. I also hold guidance classes in my classroom. My classroom lessons focus on building self-esteem, bullying prevention, problem-solving, career development, friendship-making skills, families, and much more.
While in the guidance classroom, we do a bunch of hands-on activities, and these items purchased would be helpful during hands-on play.
These hands-on puzzles, kinetic sand, magnetic tiles, and more will help my Kindergarten through fifth-grade students be able to explore and learn with their hands rather than just on paper. I have about 25 extra large pencil boxes that I like to put puzzles and hands-on materials in. These items purchased would be able to fit in these boxes for the students to grab and go to their seats in the guidance classroom.
I plan to use these boxes with the hands-on items during classroom guidance, small group sessions, and individual counseling sessions. These items purchased will be incorporated into daily and weekly counseling sessions and lessons.
