Hickory, Dickory Dock - the mouse CAN'T run up the clock because we don't have any!
I am a first grade teacher at a wonderful school where we teach a diverse population of students. We are located in the heart of our city and serve as a host school for students who reside at the local shelters.
When it comes to the art of teaching and learning how to tell time, which is a life skill, students need a "life-like" tool that they can use to practice telling time.
Currently, we have paper clocks that are not durable and are not "life-like."
By having some student clocks and write and wipe student clocks my students can explore time-telling skills on their own and have hands-on practice that they can use again and again. I will be able to get many years of use out of these items so that I can enhance the learning of first graders in the years to come.
Your help with this proposal will make it possible for my students to have the best tools possible for learning how to tell time. With your help, the mouse CAN run up the clock because we will have some clocks!
