Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my students express dislike with eating the school lunch. Because many of them refrain, at moments during the day they seem lethargic and clearly in need of an energy pick me up. Many of them play sports after school, or have internships and jobs.
I'm also the advisor for the Gender and Sexuality Alliance Club, for our LGBTQ+ students and allies, and snacks are usually their first request when our meetings start.
Who doesn't love a good snack during day?
Having snacks available for my students is necessary for them to focus in class and gets them through the day until their next meal. Snacks are fun, and makes them happy. Snacks help build trust, and starts great conversations that leads to laughter and memorable moments. Snacks can also encourage students to work harder and support the classroom environment. The snacks I currently have are running low, so students are approaching me asking: "Hey Miss, Do You Have Anymore Snacks?" I told them there are nice people who are willing to support their request. Thanks in advance for considering my project for your contribution to my wonderful students.
