Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Sphero's are mini-robots that are programmed by the students using block coding. Sphero's is a great tool for introduction into the world of coding. The twenty requested Sphero's, students will be introduced to multiple types of coding. The students will also be introduced to 3-D printing. They will learn how to line-code and block code using Sphero's curriculum. The Sphero lessons will begin with a few line and block coding activities that allow students to learn the basics of coding. The 3-D printing will allow students hands on learning with the latest technology.

This cross-curricular activity will help students in every subject.

For example in history, the Sphero's will be used to navigate maps. In English class, the Sphero's can be used to navigate the setting of a story. In Math, students will use the Sphero's for problem-solving. By calculating the speed, distance, and direction, they will solve math equations.
