This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We typically teach the Hero's Journey using Beowulf, but there are so many great examples of the Hero's Journey in modern fiction. So, this year, I'm giving my students a bunch of options. They will each choose a book (from my list) and form groups to read the book and discuss it. At the end, each group will present their book's Hero's Journey to the class.
This project will be their first reading project of Senior year.
