My Students

We are not your typical inner city school. We are students who want to learn but don't have the materials necessary to achieve the projects we want to perform.

We are an inner city school where the only thing in the building under a hundred would be the students.

We are African American students who want to ring their science classes into the modern age, with science fair presentations, research projects, and field work that surpasses what the suburban schools bring to the science fair. These are kids who go with their teacher on Saturdays, weekends, and even Christmas breaks to perform water quality tests on urban rivers. When they are this eager, it is hard not to give my part as well. Their example is inspiring to me and ant to keep the momentum going by providing them with materials and supplies they need.

My Project

Having an action camera like this will help us not only to take action shots for presentation boards but to connect with other schools around the world and compare data. We hope to work with schools in other states and across the globe: sharing data and pictures that show us working and training students and teachers. This camera will allow us to provide proof at what we are doing, giving us action shots and angles of presentation that allow to viewer to see research from our angle. There is no limit to how we can use this type of camera, especially since it is waterproof, and we are excited about the possibilities that this type of camera can give us.

Your donations will help students to create projects that are worthy of going on to state and international science fair.

It will inspire these students to continue research that can give real time data for NASA and GLOBE and that can be shared with others across the planet. Giving these students opportunities for collaboration will develop their life skills and give them a better chance of entering a well paying career field. Who knows? Maybe a cure for cancer might come from this.
