This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have taught first grade for thirteen years and am moving to teach kindergarten! Many of the materials I have will work in kindergarten as well, but kindergarten has a greater increase on phonemic awareness and one to one counting correspondence.
These phonemic awareness and number sense activities will help me teach my kindergarteners foundational literacy and mathematical skills in whole and small group.
I will use these materials to engage learners in a fun and exciting way so learning is concrete and they will learn the material. Thank you for your help!
