This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A new school year has just begun. Our group of students arrived; new faces, new smiles, new joy and many new challenges. It is my main goal this year to help my students go to the next level. How? By exposing them to the best experiences that will spark their imagination and promote a solid academic and social foundation during the time they are under my wings.

My students are very unique because they come from different social, cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Our students are also at different academic levels ranging from early learners to late learners. Our new family in school includes students with special needs and another student with foster parents. As a teacher, I'm constantly​ striving to bring the best experiences for my students. It makes me very happy to make a difference in their lives!

My Project

Our students are unexpectedly learning at home the academic skills that we started teaching during this year and that we are unable to teach in person. A lot is expected from our students but some of them aren't equipped with the necessary tools to practice some academic skills. With the adquisition of the School Readiness Transition Kits, we will be empowering our students to achieve success. The kit includes manipulatives essential for counting, sorting, grouping and playing. It also includes writing material including a journal to keep track of their writing progress. This backpack of hope will bring for sure a smile to our students and families.
