Help me give my students an iPad and Apple Pencil that will allow me to teach my virtual students at home and my physically present students in my classroom, simultaneously
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a Math and Science Bilingual Teacher. I teach at an "at-risk", low economic area in the Houston Independent School District. My students are a group of Latin third grade scholars who are highly motivated to learn, especially when they know they are cared about.
My students are English Language Learners in a Bilingual Transitional Program.
Their families are from different parts of Mexico and Central America and most of them are the first generation born and raised in The United States of America. My third grade students have gone thru a lot of different, and in most cases difficult, experiences that made me have the need to request all the help they can get to be successful in life.
My third graders need the best resources, especially for Math and Science while learning English, and these resources will help me to help them to further their knowledge. These resources will open a world full of learning, and give them rich experience using updated resources. They will really appreciate your support. I am looking forward to seeing them become great leaders and productive citizens of this country.
My Project
As a teacher, I have had to double my effort to be able to teach students who are physically in the classroom and at the same time, simultaneously, teach virtual students who are at home. Therefore, I need your help to obtain this modern equipment that will allow me to freely walk around the classroom to attend to the needs of the students there, and at the same time assist those who are in their homes. it is difficult to serve both groups at the same time being limited to sitting in front of a computer monitor when I have students physically in the classrooms.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
