My Students

The students in my school are so much fun to teach! Since I work with seven different grade levels, I have the opportunity to teach a wide variety of curriculum, which makes teaching that much more fun!

My students enjoy interactive lessons, the freedom to create, and being introduced to new ideas, concepts, and ways of thinking.

They always surprise me with their creativity and excitement when it comes to music. Incorporating technology into the classroom enhances their learning since technology is such a big part of their lives. They come from all different socioeconomic levels and backgrounds, but are all eager to learn new things!

My Project

Instruments are such an important part of elementary music education. Often times it is difficult to get enough instruments for every student to have their own in class. They usually have to share or take turns using the different instruments, which opens up the possibility for distracted students.

These Boomwhackers will not only provide enough instruments for each student to use during class, but they will also provide a fun, easy, and safe way to spark their interest in music!

Most instruments are made from material that is not easily sanitized, and during the pandemic it has been hard to find tangible things for students to do in class. These Boomwhackers are plastic, making them easy to clean, making them safer for students to use throughout the day. These are amazing instruments that are versatile and fun to play!
