Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my students are eager to come to learn in our little classroom! Although reading is still challenging for them, they are always ready for new learning. Reading is always more fun when you turn it into a game. So of course I always try to make my lessons engaging and fun.
Splash is their favorite game!
And I have found 3 more sets of the popular game each focusing on a different skill. I will show my students how to play the game in small groups. Then they will be able to play with a partner or in a group all while developing their word reading fluency.
My students need to improve their reading fluency and the only way to do so is with daily and consistent practice. The variety of games on our wish list will provide practice in reading for my 1st and 2nd grade students.
