Here Come Our Kindergarten Mathematicians!

My students need the following for their math center: shapes instant learning center, real-working cash register, add-a frog math center, subtraction & addition flash cards, days in school math activity center, write & wipe student clocks, teaching time teaching clock, 2 giant kid stamp pads, follow the dots number stamps, match and learn patterning board, counting money puzzles, magnetic big money, and plastic coins.

Hello, I'm a second year kindergarten teacher in Chicago, IL. I have 22 students eager to learn more about mathematics. My school is a Literature & Writing Magnet Cluster School where some of my students come from low-income families.

Since my school is a Literature & Writing school there isn't enough focus on mathematics that my students love. Mathematics is an everyday tool needed to succeed in this 21st century which is why I'm pushing my kindergarten students to be the best they can be and excel in math.

My students currently working on time and money. So providing them with the teaching time pocket chart and the write & wipe students clocks will give them the push they need to learn how to tell time using the clock. By using the magnetic big money, plastic coins, and real-working cash register will help aid my students in counting money more proficiently. After my students finish working with time and money they will concentrate on adding and subtracting, which the addition & subtraction cards will be of good use to assist them.

By providing mathematic manipulative's for my kindergarten class will most definitely bring a simile to each and every one of my students faces. They will know that there are kind-hearted donors such as your self that truly care about them thriving in education and more specifically in mathematics. When my students grow with the necessary skills in mathematics they can look back and say I'm so thankful for the donors for believing that I could achieve just as well as others.
