This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The requested resources such as pots, pans, scales, and other culinary tools will enable my students to delve into the culinary world and understand better how it is to be independent in the kitchen. Since the introduction of COVID, many families have turned to take out for their meals, this program allows me as a chef and culinary teacher to demonstrate not only how to cook but more so, how to be independent with meal preparation, understand food costs, and make nutritious dishes instead of unhealthy food choices. This program also allows me to delve into the passions and creativity my students have for the culinary world and encourages them to follow their passion in order to be successful in their future endeavors. Lastly, this equipment requested will allow the program to grow in a manner that will take us to a competition level.
