This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The headphones we are requesting will create an individualized and distraction-free learning environment for our students with IEPs. Many of our students benefit from accommodations such as text-to-speech software, educational videos, and audio-guided instructions. These headphones will allow them to focus on their unique learning tasks without being distracted by classroom noise, and they’ll also provide privacy as they engage in sensitive tasks like speech therapy or reading aloud. This tool will enhance their ability to participate in lessons designed to meet their specific needs.

Our primary goal is to ensure every student with an IEP can fully access the accommodations that support their learning success.

By providing high-quality headphones, we aim to boost engagement, improve comprehension, and build confidence in their abilities. Additionally, we want to create an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive, regardless of their unique challenges or learning styles.

Our students are creative, resilient, and diverse learners who inspire us daily. They each bring unique strengths and perspectives to the classroom, and their determination to overcome obstacles is truly remarkable. For some, traditional learning methods can be overwhelming or ineffective, which is why these tools are so vital. By supporting their individual needs, we can help them unlock their full potential and foster a lifelong love of learning.
