My Students

As a teacher serving a low income area, there are specific challenges that my students face both in and out of the classroom. These eager and excited young students come to school every day ready to learn and happy to explore. Unfortunately, situations beyond their control threaten their success on a daily basis.

Many of my students have a difficult time secure the basic supplies they'll need for daily use.

For this reason, my projects on DonorsChoose are of vital importance to my students. I believe that it is my duty to provide these exceptional young thinkers the best opportunities that I possibly can. My diverse group of dedicated and inquisitive students will get the chance they deserve with the help of these resources.

My Project

The materials will give my students the opportunity to become authors! Using the laminator and printer ink, my students will have the opportunity to publish their own creations and make them into books that can keep for a lifetime!

Publishing their own works makes students excited about writing and drives them to put their best effort into their work.

My students have amazing imaginations that are just waiting for the right project to inspire them. These materials make it possible for me to provide these amazing experiences for them.

A new pencil sharpener will cut down on class distractions. Unable to sharpen their pencils in the room, my students currently have to barrow a pencil or go to another classroom to sharpen. This simple necessity will make a world of difference.
