Helping Small Hands Do Big Things

Help me give my students the tools they need to progress in their motor development and self regulation skills, such as toys, carpet markers, white boards, scissors, puzzles, and other visual motor games.

My Project

All these tools will support many groups of students. The sensory path I will be able to create with the carpet markers will teach students ways to prepare their mind and bodies for learning. Social emotional learning is so important. When the body is ready, the mind will follow! All items will be accessible to all students on campus in every grade level. The lacing toys, white boards, scissors, puzzle, and other visual motor games (Spot it, Sequence, Tricky fingers) will help strengthen important motor skills every child needs in order to be an active participant in the classroom. Using the laminating sheets, I’ll be able to make therapy resources and visual aids students can use in the classroom and it will help repurpose things. Please help me encourage the next generation!
