My students need exciting learning games, like the Math Bingo Library, plus manipulatives, like foam shapes, flash cards and counters, and other supplies to enhance learning in the classroom.
Do you know what it is like to lose everything? In May, a tornado came through our town and our students lost every thing in their school, several lost everything in their homes. Our classroom has no learning games or manipulatives to help us. Students learn best by being hands-on.
My students are fun loving, eager to learn, ready to soak up all the information I give them, 3rd graders.
They love school and are still excited about learning. They love to learn with a hands-on approach. In May they lost everything, so some are a little nervous and feel insecure coming to school now.
My Project
I am requesting several hands-on activities for my students to use as we learn this year. I am asking for manipulatives to help reinforce the concepts I am teaching by letting them see, touch and manipulate the objects. I am also asking for some games that can be played on our interactive white board, flash cards and Bingo games to reinforce concepts.
It is so important to me that my students come to a class where they can have fun and learn at the same time.
I want them to love school and love learning. I believe learning should be fun and interactive and these items will help me achieve this goal.
