My Project
I teach computer lab classes to an amazing group of students ranging from Pre-K to 6th grade. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring energy, creativity, and curiosity into the lab every day. Many of our students face economic challenges, but that never stops them from showing up ready to learn and grow.
My students are learning how to navigate technology, build typing skills, explore educational programs, and even start basic coding — all of which require focus and the ability to hear clearly.
We need headphones and storage solutions to help our computer lab run smoothly and effectively. With so many students rotating through the lab each day, headphones are essential for accessing educational software, participating in reading and math programs, and completing lessons without distractions.
Right now, many students have to share or go without working headphones. This makes it hard for them to stay on task or follow along with lessons, especially for our youngest learners. Proper storage will help us keep headphones organized, clean, and in good condition for longer use.
Having their own set of working headphones helps students stay focused, engaged, and confident during lab time. It minimizes distractions, supports individual learning paths, and allows students to fully access the digital tools they need to succeed in today’s world.
This project will not only improve daily instruction but also teach responsibility, care for shared materials, and a love for learning with technology.
