This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My incoming first graders are a curious, creative, and energetic bunch! To help them feel confident and successful in the classroom, we need a few essential tools to stay organized and ready to learn each day. First grade is a big transition year, and having the right systems in place will help my students thrive academically and emotionally.

Our classroom will be filled with bright, eager first graders who are excited to read, write, create, and explore math.

Many of my students come from diverse backgrounds and benefit greatly from a structured, well-organized environment. Having the right tools in place makes a big difference in their daily experience, confidence, and independence.

To help our classroom run smoothly and give students ownership of their learning spaces, I’m requesting:

Organizer drawer sets for storing student work, supplies, math tool kits, and artwork. These will help students know exactly where their materials are and make cleanup easier and faster.

A kid-friendly pencil sharpener that students can use independently and safely—no more dull pencils holding up learning!

A label maker to clearly label student supplies, book bins, and classroom materials so students can easily find and return items on their own.

When students know where everything goes, they gain a sense of responsibility and pride in their classroom. These tools will help create a calm, focused environment where students can concentrate on what really matters—learning and growing! With your support, we can build a well-organized, student-friendly classroom where every child can shine.
