Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students follow our school roar and are always looking for way to give back to their community. With our sewing and crochet club we want to empower students to give back and find ways to solve problems within their community.
With this club we plan to educate students about the importance of giving back to the community and brainstorming ways that they can make a difference with the power of creation and innovation.
Students will donate the items that they make with the sewing machine to families in the community that need it most. Some of those families will include students from our our school.
Students want to make it known that no one should be without essential materials such as blankets, hats, and bags. Students see the problem of poverty in the community that we learn and live in. The students want to ensure that others see what they are doing to give back to the community and make an impact themselves.
The sewing machine and materials will help students create items that they can donate to members of the community and make it known that are school cares about the community.
