Mental Health Counseling Tools

Help me give my students tools to continue supporting their emotional regulation skills. It is my goal to help students achieve academic success by supporting their mental health needs.

My Project

These items will help support student’s social emotional skills by improving their knowledge of various emotions, how to regulate their emotions, providing opportunities for hands on practice, and reinforcing their use of coping skills through positive reinforcement with snacks. Some of the materials will also help minimizing the spreading of germs by ensuring prompt sanitation of used areas. For instance, if a student is having a hard time managing their emotions, they will have the tools to identify their feelings, practice coping skills using art therapy, and reinforce their participation with a snack. Once they’re regulated, they can clean up the area and return to class with an improved mood and be prepared to learn.
