This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am an occupational therapist that teaches children with special needs ranging from preschool to high school within eight different schools. I want to provide equal opportunities across schools for my students to have the skills for sensory regulation (ability to use tools to attend to tasks in class), as well as to increase their fine motor coordination to reach IEP goals. These materials will provide a fun approach to working on these skills.

My students have a variety of diagnoses and sensory needs within the classroom, as well as art, physical education, and music.

The sensory tools included in my list address visual processing, proprioception, and oral motor seeking.
