This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many students come to school without enough to eat, and hunger can quickly become a barrier to learning. Providing snacks throughout the day helps students stay focused, energized, and ready to learn. When kids aren’t distracted by growling stomachs, they can better participate in lessons, stay engaged, and regulate their emotions. A simple snack can be the difference between a distracted learner and a confident one. With your support, I can give my students the fuel they need to succeed both in the classroom and beyond.

With the donations I have requested I will be able to have snacks readily available during the school day that will support students and keep them in engaged in their education.

Snacks help maintain stable energy levels, which improves focus, concentration, and academic performance. For growing children, especially those who may not have consistent access to food at home, snacks can help fill nutritional gaps and reduce anxiety related to hunger. Ultimately, access to snacks ensures that all students regardless of background have the fuel they need to feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
