This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 4-year-old students are full of wonder, hope, and life! My school is located inside a HOMELESS SHELTER in an urban area. My students have many obstacles in their life, yet they work hard to overcome their challenges. Every day my students work hard to learn, achieve and grow to their potential. My students are 65% Hispanic and 35% African-American. Their parents make less than 20 thousand dollars annually, or are on government assistance. My students work to reach the stars and above. Please help me with my classroom.
My Project
Students deserve the right to return to school with dignity and respect. My students live in a homeless shelter or in government housing. They are 4 and 5 year olds that deserve a bright future and a return to the school house with respect.
Please help my homeless Pre-K students return to school with new uniforms, backpacks and school supplies!
It may seem simple, but most of these children struggle to have shoes that will fit their feet. Providing the primal needs for these children gives them a HEAD START!
