Help me give my students the supplies, yarn and the crochet hooks, to create hats for the people who need a warm hat.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Ewing's classroom raised $459

My Project
The resources I am requesting are simple, yarn and crochet hooks. My students will be inspired to learn or improve the skill of crochet to make hats. Students will be able to choose a beautiful shade of yarn from a wide assortment. Choosing a yarn is always an inspirational moment for a crafter. The optimism you feel when an imagined creation is moments from taking shape is a warm and fuzzy feeling.
To spread that warm fuzzy feeling, every hat will be donated to a head in need.
From late autumn through the early spring, there are many heads that are managing life out in the elements of nature. These heads may be cold. These heads may be seeking comfort. These heads are not invisible. These heads deserve a cheery gift of warmth.
Students will forge friendships as we crochet in a group with a common goal to help people in our community. We will crochet hats in a variety of sizes to accommodate men, women, children and infants. I would expect every stitch fabricated for the hat will also build on a feeling of empathy for each student-crocheter.
