This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My goal is to create a classroom of warmth, love, kindness and respect. The items on my list will provide my learners with the tools they need in order to self regulate and integrate into our school community!
We need rugs for quiet and cozy learning, headphones for independent work as well as noise canceling one for areas in the school that may be too loud or overwhelming!
We are looking for fidgets, timers, and other classroom necessities to help the daily teaching and social skills.
Having these items will make a different to our students as right now they are just sitting on a cold floor! I want my class to be able to learn and feel comfortable!
I work in East Harlem New York City and am looking for your help to fund this project so that this can be the best year yet!
