I currently have 45 students enrolled in the 5th grade. We switch classes but do not have enough storage for each homeroom to leave their materials in my classroom. This often times leads to students needing to go back to their homeroom which can cause a disruption. Other students simply show up without their needed materials.
Having seat sacks would be a huge help in this matter.
Unfortunately they are very costly. Not only am I teaching students ELA/SS, but also how to be organized and help them to become more independent. Having seat sacks would make such a difference, especially when it comes to interruptions. Having seat sacks would also eliminate the need for students to carry everything in their backpacks.
