This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school focuses on trauma informed care for our students.

I would like anxiety reducing items in the classroom for my students such weighted stuffed animals, anxiety stickers, blankets, and some snacks to help my students when they are having a tough day in the classroom.

I hope to eliminate the worries my students come to school with by having a safe, quiet, and nurturing classroom for my students when they arrive daily. If students feel welcomed and relaxed, they will focus on classwork and less on other home issues.
