My Students

I have an amazing group of fifty-six second grade students! As a dual-immersion classroom, my students are learning in Chinese for the half the day and English for the other. They love learning and trying new things.

Everybody does everything!

We are awesome! We are powerful! We choose who we are each day! We are safe, kind, and responsible. Everyday in every way we're getting better and better! This is the class motto we say at the beginning of each class and my students truly live it.

My Project

My students love using the iPads and Chromebooks during practice stations. However, they don't like having to turn the volume down or off so that they other students can focus. Many of the applications require sound for the students to successfully practice. For example, on the language apps students need to be able to hear the words read so they can then rhyme, spell, or change one of the sounds.

These requested Classroom Headphones would help us have a happier classroom.

Practice stations are the ideal time for differentiation and small-group instruction. The students who are working with me at the back table need to be able to focus on my instruction, rather than the noises coming from the devices. Additionally, when we are taking tests, it's extremely important for students to be able to hear clearly.

New headphones will help us all focus on the tasks we are working on, which makes all of us happy!
