"Look over there!"..."Did someone say my name?"....."Is she using my pencil?"....We can all agree that small group instruction is the ideal way to foster a differentiated classroom. However, effective small group instruction is nearly impossible without a horseshoe teaching table.
I teach all day kindergarten in a very high-need community.
My classroom is hands- and brains-on. We love to learn through song and from one another. My class is made up of a diverse group of loving, energetic five and six year-olds. They brighten my life, and that is why I want to brighten theirs!
My Project
I am requesting a horseshoe teaching table for small group direct instruction. In a classroom of twenty students, there are many distractions that can catch the students' attention. If my students and I had a horseshoe table at which to work, we would each be eye-to-eye. This would make it easy to read and work together without becoming distracted by other students working in the classroom.
This table would be a "dream come true" for our classroom!
Your help would give my students confidence and increase the peaceful nature we try to foster in our classroom. Your donation would allow my students to relax and learn without other classroom distractions. We hope you'll believe in us!
