This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a second grade special education teacher working in an ICT class setting. My students are very sweet and enjoy coming to school every day. My students come to school every day ready to learn!
For most of my children and many children in my school, school is very important for them because it is the only stable place for them.
Most of my children come to school, then go to an after school program, then go to a babysitter's house before they go home to their parents.
My Project
We are in need of a rug where we can all sit together comfortably to learn and have a student organizer where we can keep our things together. Currently we have a rug, but it does not fit all of the children. Our floors are too cold for the other children to sit on. We are also in need of a student work organizer. We do not have desks that have organizers attached to them. We currently have tables but we keep our things in sacks that are hanging off their seats. These sacks do not hold all of their books.
