My Students
One of the biggest challenges I face is getting the basic supplies needed to engage and teach my students. I get $200.00 a year to buy all the supplies for my classroom from the state. This is not enough to get teacher supplies, student supplies, and cleaning supplies.
I have 24 eager first graders who love school.
They come from a mix of low income and middle income families. They also come from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds. 30% of the students are military children. They are all very attentive and look forward to every new activity we do in the classroom. Please help us in expanding our knowledge one experiment at a time.
My Project
My students will use the STEM Science Stations, Giant Roller Ramps, and the Scientific Discovery Chest to further their knowledge in science and the world, one experiment at a time. Children will explore light and color to magnetism, weather, plant life and motion and buoyancy-as they complete hands-on experiments and engineering activities. They will also be increasing their knowledge by using the scientific inquiry skills and using tools for observation and investigation. Our world is full of science, and with your help my students will discover this on their own.
Donating to this project will improve the learning experience by expanding our resources and deepening our knowledge in science.
