My Students
My students want to take control of their education. They are ready and excited to discover information on their own and to take their learning to a more personalized level. Our students are from all walks of life and have a wide variety of interests and skills. Some are talented and creative artists who enjoy creating colorful educational pamphlets that describe Utah’s unique geology and rival those of the National Park system. Others are technologically savvy and want to learn about everything by research about it. Some are gifted writers and journalists that enjoy creating digital stories that discuss how dead zones are formed in oceans and what we can do to prevent them.
My Project
In order for students to become inquirers and take control of their own educations, they need some resources. The more resources our classroom can get, the more individual time each student can get with it. We are hoping to build a library of Chromebooks so each student can get more time with technology.
Each student has access to our online classrooms, which help to individualize their learning.
Students will also use this technology for research, using interactive websites, communicating with scientists, producing videos, writing, and publishing, and the list goes on and on.
Computers will enhance my students' lives by providing them with a gateway to their future as they explore resources and programs associated with my subject area.
