This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember learning about a famous artist? How about time period? Well with my amazing artists I create original handouts specific to the lesson created. However, we need a color printer/copier/scanner to print out these lessons! Can you help us see the world in color?

I am the art specialist in a K-5 Arts school.

We are located in one of the poorest rural areas of the state. Our families are plagued by poverty and high unemployment rates. I see about 975 students every week, from kindergarten though grade five. All of the students receive free or reduced lunch. The student population is 95% Hispanic, 3% African American, 1% Caucasian, and 1% Asian. About 70% of the students in my room are learning English as a second language.

My Project

We are currently requesting a color laser, copier and scanner since our color laser broke. It is extremely hard showing visuals examples of artwork without color! The copy machine/printer/scanner would assist me in providing examples for every student immediately. The color copies will make it fun and more appealing for all the projects we will complete in our art room!

This donation will be a big part of our everyday classroom use!

We will be able to see artwork and handout how they were intended to...in COLOR! This printer will help us soar into next year!
