Help! We Can't Hear While Using iPads

My students need headphones and splitters to better utilize our iPads in the classroom. We are so lucky to have 5 iPads and having headphones would make it that much better for us!

My Students

My Kindergarteners come in each day bright eyed and ready to learn. They are enthusiastic souls although many come with little experience and exposure to school and the basic foundations of literacy and math, therefore already being "behind." As a teacher, I not only want to instill the love of learning within my students but also want to set them up for success for their school career. I always say to my students: "The more you practice. . " and they shout: "the better we get!"

I work in a school where many of my students do not speak English as a first language and do not have many resources at home.

Our school is full of students from various places around the world from Turkey to Lithuania to Congo and Iraq. Despite the challenges of being new in a country, my students are desirous to learn and try their best.

My Project

We are lucky to have 5 iPads in our classroom that we use everyday during small groups and at other times as well. We have found it difficult to concentrate on our own iPad as it is always "buzzing" in a Kindergarten classroom.

Having headphones will help us better focus!

We would appreciate having a set of splitters as well so we can share an iPad with a friend and work together. We especially love to code on the iPad with a friend--we always can problem solve better when we have more than one head.

The headphones will help us focus on different applications on the iPad from practicing the letter names to letter sounds to math problem and writing a sentence. This is especially important for my ESL students to be able to completely engage in their learning and not be distracted from outside noise.
