Help Wanted: Science Materials Needed for Student Learning

Help me give my students materials for science experiments and models that they can use to help them gain a greater understanding and appreciation about the science topics.

My Students

I teach 7th and 8th grade science. When I asked my students which class is their least favorite, a lot of them said science. As I thought about this, I came to the conclusion that they probably say this because science is a culmination of all subjects. Reading, writing, math, and history are all a part of science class.

My students are full of curiosity and questions.

They are excited about learning new things. This past year and a half has been tough on them, but has also helped drive their curiosity to the natural and technological world.

My Project

I believe that my classroom is missing some important ways to give visual and hands on experiences to my students for them to gain a better understanding about the scientific phenomenon they will be learning about.

Most of the materials that I would like to receive will be available for the students to check out and take home.

If they are needing to make up a lab, or study for an upcoming assessment, I will have take home kits ready to be checked out. My hope is that doing this will help my students continue learning at home. I also plan to use these materials to create my own videos and post them on Canvas.
