Help Wanted: Kindergarten Students Need Digital Learning Materials
Help me give my students access to digital content with Teacher Pay Teacher gift cards that will give me the opportunity to purchase age appropriate and engaging activities to help support in person and distance learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in an urban district where the majority of our students qualify for free and reduced breakfast and lunch. I have a regular education classroom that includes ESL students, Special Education students, and students from a variety of economic backgrounds.
My students come to school every day ready to learn and eager to be engaged.
They put forth their best effort every day and are active participants in their own learning. I am continually looking for new ways to keep them invested in their education.
My Project
This year has been a big change for my kindergarten classroom. Most years we are able to have engaging centers where students can interact with their friends to create and problem solve. However this year we have needed to teach our 4 and 5 year olds how to navigate Chromebooks and digital activities, for both in person and distance learning. Teachers Pay Teachers have many wonderful age appropriate and engaging digital activities ranging from letter activities to math games to beginning reader platforms. Gift cards would allow me the opportunity to select and purchase these activities to enhance the curriculum and give students the chance for independent practice and review of skills.
