Help Wanted: Books & More for a First-Year Teacher
Help me give my students books! Students, especially kindergarten students, need to read and be read to. As a first-year teacher, I would love to fill my classroom with lots of different choices for students to read.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Reading is essential for students, especially our little ones. Donating to my classroom would mean that students have more choices to pick from and would help me be able to read to them during holidays such as Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day.
My goal for this project is to help fill my classroom library as well as fillling in the holes of other supplies I need, such as the weather chart, birthday hats, an so on.
These other supplies will help make our classroom a special place where every student feels celebrated. This is something that is very important to me. The Lakeshore learning center is a great tool to help students strengthen their English proficiency and phonemic awareness, which is so important, especially for students who will have to take and eventually pass the AZELLA test.
By helping my classroom, you would give students an opportunity that they might not have had before. The students I will be teaching are in a very low-socioeconomic area, and they are told they won't achieve much. However, if we give them the tools to be successful in life, they can do anything!
