My students need glue sticks, lots of them. Glue sticks are easier to use than liquid glue, but the kids burn through them fast! We also need a bunch of other basics, like scissors and markers.

My Students
We are the inaugural cohort in the only French Immersion program in LAUSD! Our kids were the first to take the plunge into the French Immersion program in Kindergarten, and now they are in 2nd grade (heading into 3rd!) We feel an obligation to keep our "avant garde" (literally "advance guard," or the "cutting edge" in French!) students on the very edge of innovation, challenge, and resources!
We need some basic school supplies.
Our school and parents have been great about providing many supplies, but we run out of things fast because our little critters are so creative. I'm asking for supplies in bulk so they last us a while and so we don't have to always be begging someone for more.
My Project
We do so many projects that require glue. We do a special kind of spelling curriculum called Words Their Way, which requires kids to do a lot of sorting and gluing. It's a really cool program that allows us to differentiate the spelling words kids get every week. But it requires lots of glue!
The glue sticks and the other supplies will help our classroom stay stocked for the next year.
It's so frustrating when teachers and kids have so many ideas, but not enough supplies to bring them to life. Help us be creative and smart!
We need the construction paper for various activities. Plus, we have "Friday Fun Time" where the kids love to do arts & crafts, or "D.I.Y.s" as they call them! We go through the popular colors fast.
We use scissors for Word Study, Art, Math, and in making books for Writer's Workshop. Scissors have a mind of their own and end up in the funniest places (where I can't find them!) Our supply is low right now.
The copy paper is needed for similar reasons as the construction paper. In addition, we use white paper to draw pictures for certain assignments and when we write to our Pen Pals at Westwood Charter Elementary.
I could go on but I only get 300 words! Suffice to say, everything on this list is an essential material my classroom can't do without. The quantities I am requesting are meant to last for several months or
longer.
I want my kids to be productive in a classroom where they never have to worry about running out of stuff. Please help us reach our goal!
